Veeco Delivers Multiple TurboDisc K-Series MOCVD Tools To Genesis Photonics in Taiwan

Tools for Capacity Expansion in HB-LED Manufacturing

 

WOODBURY, N.Y., April 8, 2008 -- Veeco Instruments Inc. (Nasdaq: VECO), announced today that Genesis Photonics Inc. (GPI) headquartered in Taiwan, has received multiple TurboDisc® K-Series gallium nitride (GaN) Metal Organic Chemical Vapor Deposition (MOCVD) Systems. GPI will use the systems to increase capacity for the production of blue HB-LEDs for lighting, display, backlighting, and automotive applications.
