Veeco Co-Sponsors MBE Innovator Award; Nominations Sought

St. Paul, MN, June 9, 2009 - Veeco Instruments Inc. will again co-sponsor the MBE Innovator Award in 2009 in conjunction with the North American Molecular Beam Epitaxy (NAMBE) organization. The award, initiated in 2003, recognizes those individuals whose innovations have significantly advanced the field of MBE, consisting of a $3,000 honorarium and plaque.

 

The award will be presented in August at the North American Conference on Molecular Beam Epitaxy. The conference is scheduled to take place in Princeton, New Jersey at Princeton University. Nomination forms for this award and complete details can be found at http://www.nambe2009.com/awards. Submission deadline of June 15, 2009 is fast approaching to be considered.

 

Nominations for the award are open to all universities, government organizations or commercial companies worldwide. Nominees must have shown or are currently showing innovation in advancing MBE technology. NAMBE Advisory Committee Officials will select a winner from the submitted nominations, with the respective recipient receiving the award at the Tuesday evening Conference Banquet.

 

The NAMBE organization shares the latest research discoveries in MBE and the new materials and devices based upon MBE, as well as progress in further developing MBE as a high-volume manufacturing technology.
